DEMA Announces Leap into Consumer Show Arena

(Dive Travel Business News - November 3, 2011) --- Known for its cornerstone trade-only event "DEMA SHOW", the Diving Equipment & Marketing Association (DEMA) announced its leap into the consumer show arena today at the annual DEMA Member Meeting and Update held at DEMA Show 2011. Executive Director Tom Ingram announced that the "Be A Diver Adventure Sports Festival" will be a city-wide consumer event that will take place April 26-28, 2013, in Fort Lauderdale Florida. The Festival will be an annual event.

Described as a "celebration of diving, adventure sports, water sports and outdoor lifestyles", DEMA's first consumer event will be designed to engage current divers, lapsed divers and potential divers, and will include events, music, exhibits, seminars and other activities to promote diving and attract the attention of lifestyle sports enthusiasts. read more »

Each year this popular WDHOF event brings together key members of the diving industry in an upbeat, casual setting and is a major fundraiser for WDHOF causes including many Scholarships and Training Grants that offer financial and/or educational assistance to individuals of all ages, particularly those who are preparing for professional careers that involve scuba diving.

7th Annual Florida Scuba Festival Moves to Boca Raton

(Dive Travel Business News - May 29, 2011) -- Now entering its seventh year, the Florida Scuba Festival has moved to a new location at the Florida Atlantic University Main Campus in Boca Raton, at the Student Union. Free tickets to the event are available thru May 31st by registering online at www.ScubaFestival.com.  As of June 1, tickets will be US$16 ( As always Kids under 16 are free). The show runs June 17 Friday from 5 PM til 8 PM and Saturday June 18 from10am til 5pm.  The show organizers suggest attendees set Sunday aside to do some South Florida reef diving with local operators. (Dive Travel Business News - March 25, 2011) -- The Marine Art Center Co., Ltd. has announced the rescheduling of the Marine Diving Festival 2011 in Tokyo Japan. While the venue and people are safe, and business is slowly returning to normal in Tokyo, the electricity supply is currently unstable.  For this reason, the Marine Diving Festival has been postponed to July 8-11, 2011 at the Sunshine City Convention Center Hall B,C Ikebukuro, Tokyo, Japan.

The Marine Art Center Co Ltd, and organizers of the Marine Diving Festival greatly appreciate the many caring words and emails from all over the diving world  in the wake of the recent earthquake and tsunami.
