(Dive Travel Business News - April 17, 2012) -- The Dive Industry Association and Dive News Network will co-host a Luncheon and Dive Industry Business Seminar in Tacoma, Washington, USA,  at the 5th Annual Northwest Dive & Travel Expo. The industry event will be held at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center on Friday April 20 at 12:00pm - 2:00pm. 

This year's topic focuses on "Communicating a Shared Vision."  Keynote Speakers Sabrina Parsons, CEO of Palo Alto Software, the worldwide leaders in business & marketing plan software, and Dana Pethia, Regional Development Director of Constant Contact, the worldwide leaders in email marketing who will show participants how to create a business vision for the future and how to communicate that vision to suppliers and customers.  read more »

(Dive Travel Business News - January 6, 2012) -- Founded in 2001, the Dive Industry Association recently celebrated 10 years as a Marketing and Trade Association dedicated to "Building a Better Industry, One Member at a Time." 

More than 294 Dive Businesses and Individuals have joined this association to help promote their businesses and grow the diving industry.

DIA's goals are to unite the Industry to a common purpose of sustainable growth for the industry, promote Professional Development within its Membership, generate maximum marketing exposure and increase business opportunities for its Members.

(Dive Travel Business News April 14, 2011) -- A long time Travel Agent and friend to many in our industry, Terrie Dold passed away most unexpectedly, shorty after five p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2011 after suffering a cerebral aneurysm on Sunday morning from which she was unable to recover.  Terri and her husband Gene became Travel Agents for Scuba Travel Ventures in San Diego after owning and operating their own business, Aqua Dreams Travel, for many years.  

Terri was born in Fontana, California and defined the term, "A Lust for Life."  She traveled the world as a travel industry professional and avid diver.  Terri and Gene, well known in the dive industry and have been selling adventure dive travel since 1994.  A love for adventure and a spirit of fun abounded in Terri, whether it was for traveling, scuba diving, or motor cycle riding.
