Family Dive Adventures Announces 2012 Kids Sea Camp Schedule.

(Dive Travel Business - January 28, 2012) -- Kids Sea Camp has announced its Family Dive Adventure destinations for 2012: The list includes eight family-friendly dive holidays in Yap, Palau, Costa Rica, Grand Cayman, Galapagos, Bonaire, Utila and St. Vincent.

Kids Sea Camp gets kids excited about the ocean when they are young. Established by Dive Travel Pro Margo Peyton in 2001, the objective of Kids Sea Camp is to promote an awareness of marine related issues, with a strong focus on conservation. THE BAHAMAS—JANUARY 24, 2012— Dive legend and businessman Neal Watson has been re-elected for another two-year term as President of the Bahamas Diving Association.

Stuart Cove, owner of Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas in Nassau and Stuart Cove’s Tiger Beach Safaris on Grand Bahama Island, was re-elected vice president.

Watson and celebrated marine artist, scientist and conservationist Dr. Guy Harvey joined forces last year to open Neal Watson’s Dive Bimini at the Bimini Big Game Club in Alice Town. read more »

Former dive store owner of Atlanta Scuba & Swim Academny (now Atlanta Scuba and Swim Centers), Grzelka started Caribbean Dive Tours 23 years ago with the concept of providing dive travel services to the dive center that didn’t compete for his dive store customers. Gap Adventures Changes Name to G Adventures

(Dive Travel Business News - September 29, 2011) -- Toronto-based tour operator Gap Adventures has changed its name to G Adventures, following a June copyright-infringement ruling in a suit brought by clothing giant Gap Inc.

In a June 24 decision in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Judge Alvin Hellerstein ruled in favor of Gap Inc. on trademark infringement, saying, "Gap Adventures has used similar marks in commerce such that there is likelihood of confusion."

Four days after the ruling, Gap Adventures founder Bruce Poon Tip called the decision "unfounded" in a letter to the industry, and the company said it would appeal the decision. However, in a letter to the industry dated Sept. 27, Poon Tip announced a change in the company name, with no mention of the lawsuit. read more »
