Worldwide Dive & Sail Expands its Fleet of Classic Luxury Sailing Yachts
(DiveTravelBusinessNews - November 14, 2010) -- Worldwide Dive and Sail, live-aboard company that has become known for its luxury dive and sail itineraries around Southeast Asia, now has 5 vessels taking guests to the best dive sites in Thailand, Burma, India, Philippines, Indonesia, and its newest destination - the Maldives.
Since 2003, Worldwide Dive and Sail has been expanding its fleet and destinations portfolio to include a wide range of destinations. The S/Y Siren plies the diving waters off Thailand, Burma and India including: the Similan and Surin Islands of Phuket; Burma Banks and Mergui Archipelago and; India's Andaman Islands. The S/Y Philippines Siren offers four different itineraries around the Philippines including: South Visayas; Southern Leyte; Boracay and area and; Tubbataha Marine Park. The S/Y Mandarin Siren travels to Northern Sulawesi and Raja Ampat (North and South). The S/Y Indo Siren conducts several journeys including: Komodo National Park; Komodo to Flores, Flores to Raja Ampat, Raja Ampat and Raja Ampat to Ambon.
The new S/Y Maldives Siren offers four itineraries that cover different regions in the 26-atoll nation found in the Indian Ocean some 435 miles southwest of Sri Lanka: The Central Route brings divers to Rasdhoo, Ari, Nilhande, Thaa and Laamu atolls; The central/southern itinerary takes divers from Male to the atolls of Felidhe, Mulaku, Thaa and Huvadhoo; A far shorter season the Northern Itinerary brings divers to Rasdhoo, Baa, Lahviyani, Noonu and Shaviyani atolls; The Southern Itinerary spends 10 days exploring the Huvadhoo atoll in depth.
Worldwide Dive and Sail started in 2003 providing divers a unique live-aboard experience sailing on traditional “gaft rigged Phinisi” sailing yachts handcrafted from ironwood and teak and custom built on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. The sailing yachts accommodate between 6 and 16 guests.
All yachts have spacious and comfortable private cabins with en-suite bathrooms, a large dive deck; an outside covered dining area and a well equipped saloon with cocktail bar and entertainment area. Guests can dive up to four dives per day as well as free use of Aqua Lung rental equipment. Free enriched air Nitrox is available for divers suitably qualified. Kayaks, water skis are also made available for guest use. The yachts are designed to take care of photo/video-graphers with charging stations, preparation and storage areas and dedicated rinse tanks.
Each ship's saloon offers large comfy sofas and a large plasma screen movie watching and viewing the days. Each cabin with ensuite bath, with a choice of twins or double bed cabins, or single beds individual air-conditioning, personal computer with flat screen and pre loaded movies, music and editing software for photographers and videographers. All meals, snacks, beverages and beer are included; wines and spirits are additional.
