Kool Karibbean Extravaganza at DEMA Show
(Dive Travel Business News - November 12, 2010) -- Robin Leach, international star of the hit television series, “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” and former Antigua resident, will be the host and emcee of this year’s Women Divers Hall of Fame (WDHOF) fundraiser which will take place from 6 to 9 pm, Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Hilton. The event will be a KOOL KARIBBEAN EXTRAVAGANZA evening, featuring steel pan music, tropical décor & refreshments and casual Island attire. Tickets: $40. per person.
The event brings together key members of the diving industry in an upbeat, casual setting and is a major fundraiser for WDHOF causes including Scholarships and Training Grants that offer financial and/or educational assistance to individuals of all ages, particularly those who are preparing for professional careers that involve scuba diving.
With Robin Leach as host, the evening promises to be one of the most exciting and entertaining events during the Diving Equipment and Manufacturers Association (DEMA) expo in Las Vegas. DEMA is the world’s leading dive show for professionals, where more than 10,000 industry leaders from around the globe gather to network and do business.
Some of the Caribbean’s top hotels and resorts are joining in the event by donating trips, dive packages, including a family dive trip to Palau and a live aboard in Fiji. A fabulous original artwork has been donated by internationally acclaimed marine artist WYLAND who will also be attending (check out the list of auction items ahead of time!). There will also be a silent auction featuring merchandise, autographed literature and unique treasures, so there should be something for everyone!
