Delta Baggage Fee Update

November 5, 2008 (Delta.com) -- Effective for tickets issued after Nov. 5, 2008 for travel on or after Dec. 5, 2008, Delta will impose a $15 first bag fee and a $25 second bag fee for travel within the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Puerto Rico. Delta has indicated that it has made this change to align its policies with Northwest's. Delta's current bag fees (first bag free and second bag $50) will remain in place until Dec. 4, 2008. In addition, customers that purchased tickets on or before Nov. 5, 2008 for travel on or after Dec. 5, 2008, will be subject to the current bag fees (first bag free and second bag $50).
